It has been my privilege to serve the company for 32 years, I've experienced the power of a nurturing environment and many opportunities for growth firsthand. Growing up in a loving family with a paternalistic Hong Kong education, which shaped my character.

Joining Arnhold in 1990 after leaving a broker job was a defining moment. My burning desire to explore led me to witness China's progress, creating lasting memories. Through Chairman Mr Green's book, "Arnholds - China Trader," I felt a deep connection to the company.

Arnhold's enduring commitment to quality and professionalism resonated with me. "We bridged the gap from West to East, now from East to West." This responsibility rests with the young generation, driven by hope, adaptability, and determination to face challenges. Under the guidance of our Managing Director Daniel, Arnhold transformed into a caring company. Working alongside dedicated colleagues enriched my journey, forging lasting friendships and mentorships. Gratitude extends to both triumphs and setbacks. To my young colleagues, I offer this heartfelt advice: be prepared, work hard with courage and determination. My hope and prayer for all is a fulfilling life intertwined with career joy. As Arnhold nurtured me, I strive to nurture the next generation.

Above all, I'm blessed with a life companion who sustains and inspires me. In a competitive and unpredictable business world, my story speaks of gratitude and reminds us to embrace opportunities and cherish the journey.

Since 2018, my journey with Arnhold has been one of growth and ambition. Joining the Claybrook division while based in Singapore, my goal was to elevate Claybrook into a global aspirational brand. This started in Asia Pacific, but the vision soon expanded to encompass the Middle East and Europe. The prospect of exploring new markets was a driving force behind my decision, and my previous experience in Hong Kong, working with Arnhold, solidified my belief in the company's work ethic, passion, and support.

Working alongside predominantly Chinese colleagues has been an enriching experience. Their strong work ethic and solution-oriented mindset align perfectly with Arnhold's culture, I have always enjoyed the kind nature of my colleagues here in HK and China and have been fortunate to develop lasting relationships. Our collective solution-driven approach is critical for Claybrook's growth in a competitive market.

My career has always been fueled by a deep curiosity for different cultures and people in business. Understanding that business thrives on personal connections, Singapore's diverse environment provided a gateway to diverse cultures and industry contacts. This experience led me to a proactive role with Claybrook across Asia Pacific, where I witnessed their passion and determination. Transitioning back to the UK felt seamless, bolstering my network and enriching my experiences in luxury global interiors markets.

The essence of my journey with Arnhold lies in connecting stakeholders to win business across diverse countries. I have a passion for travel, and this role allows me to explore the world while meeting enthusiastic customers who champion the Claybrook brand. The shared passion for success, driven by senior management at Arnhold, has been a motivating force.

What I value most about Arnhold is the opportunity to proactively grow a relatively new business with the strategic support of senior management. The Claybrook division shares a global ambition, and Arnhold's outlook aligns perfectly with our goals.

As travel becomes more accessible, I eagerly anticipate more frequent encounters with colleagues in Hong Kong. Arnhold's culture, where passion and hard work yield rewards, is something I'm proud to be part of. Personally, I strive for consistency, knowing that it's the key to long-term success in our dynamic industry.

I joined Arnhold officially in 2006 as a tea lady, but my journey with the company began in 2003 when I started as part-time janitor, working for the company that does their cleaning. Prior to that, I worked as a pattern cutter in the sample room of an apparel company in China.

The reason I've stayed with Arnhold for over 17 years is because it feels like a big family to me, providing warmth and a sense of home. The Chairman has always treated me with respect and care at Arnhold, I have never been looked down at, as I was in my previous jobs.

The most memorable moment during my time at Arnhold was when I fell seriously ill within my first two months of joining. I needed urgent surgery, but my medical insurance wasn't active yet due to the probation period. Worried about affording the medical expenses, I was immensely grateful when our Chairman generously covered all of my medical costs in full unconditionally.

What I love most about Arnhold is the human touch – my colleagues are always willing to offer help, making it a happy and enjoyable workplace. Additionally, the employee benefits are great, especially the medical insurance that also covers my family, a rare provision for junior staff in many companies in Hong Kong.

I am filled with gratitude for working at Arnhold and will continue to do my best to serve the company. I wish Arnhold continued success and prosperity.

I joined Arnhold in 2014. At the time, I had two decades of experience leading sales teams in Hong Kong, Mainland China and Asia-Pacific in the competitive office furniture and carpet markets. I was eager to explore new opportunities and challenges.

Within two years, I was thrilled to be promoted to General Manager of Arnhold’s Retail/A&D Division. In this role, I pursued new business channels including luxury residences and established our wood flooring division while constructing an agile and knowledgeable team. The initiatives tested our capabilities, pushed us to work outside our comfort zones, and enhanced our skill set. As a female leader at Arnhold, I faced the challenge of leading an all-woman sales team in the male-dominated construction industry. Over time, we built momentum and developed our tacit knowledge, proving that gender does not hinder success.

One memorable milestone was a house construction project in Shek O designed by Foster + Partners in 2022. Arnhold supplied floor and wall finishes for the 20,000 square foot purpose-built landmark, along with the bathroom furnishings and fixtures. The home’s meticulous standards, high degree of customization and prolonged construction period required true dedication and persistence. The impossible became possible. I am proud that the project was exhibited at Centre Pompidou in Paris in 2023.

What I appreciate most about Arnhold is my colleagues’ on-going trust and encouragement. Their support has been invaluable. The company’s commitment to its employees and the community cannot be understated. Even through challenging times, it remains steadfast towards its social responsibility and never compromises its core values.

I’m grateful for the enriching experiences that Arnhold has provided. Along with cherished memories, I treasure the lessons learned and appreciate that I am part of a company that strives to make a positive impact.
